Founded 2011 in Manchester England, the AUDIOLYMPICS aims to bring the finest innovators and performers from DJ, Turntablism and Controllerism culture together for a live competition arena showcase to push the preconceptions and boundaries of live creative performance. Alongside the most astounding absorbing sonic sculpture the contestantants provide, will be the cutting edge of VJ and projection mapping collectives providing the visual graffiti, and the most unique of dance cultures freestylers invited to battle.....

A series of live events and heats over the 2 week athletic competition period from 29 july 2012, the worlds enthusiasts of excellence will have an opportunity to witness the foundation of a recurring bi-annual event spanning the globe, providing the sonic backdrop and atfer hours spiritual sibling of the Athletic spectacular occuring in the daytime, in London 2012, winter event in Sochi 2014 and Rio De Janiero 2016

Audiolympics will feature a series of events of a competitive nature to test the skills of performers using any platform from vinyl to analogue, digital and beyond, with competitors trailbazing a cohesive path of music from all cultures,genres and times into a solid wall of sound and message. For the Audio Imagineers who prefer to participate from the sidelines, The Audiolympics Intends to run a closed playlist event where participants will have to use a percentage of their set mixing from unsigned tracks submitted by the public to test their improvisation and creativity skills. Tracks will be judged for their inclusion on their individual merit as music and also as dj tools, so competitors are encouraged to come up with music designed with the dj and controllerism scene in mind, with cue points, loops, hooks and transitions...Creators from All genre's of music are welcome to apply...
Alongside the audio events we will create a series of online competitions to provide an arena for the cutting edge visual arts, including demo programmers, visualisation programs, digital image manipulators, projection mapping and beyond......
